From Dr. Janet Landreth – Coordinator of Keyboard Area Studies and Associate Professor of Music at Colorado State University:

Meet Daria ("Dasha") Korotkova, a young 14-year old Russian Piano Prodigy from St. Petersburg, Russia, whose dream has always been to come to the U.S.A. to study and perform, as she prepares for a career on the international concert stage. Daria’s incredible talent was brought to my attention last spring by a contingent of Russian-American musician friends who first learned of the young prodigy and introduced her to me through two DVDs of her performances at an International Music Festival in Germany. I was stunned at the technical and musical genius of this young prodigy, who at the age of 12 was playing five or six Chopin Etudes, the Bach Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, and other works of extreme difficulty. Beyond the technical demands of the works themselves, the level of musicianship in her playing was simply remarkable.
