A Soiree Holiday Tradition
Acoustic Eidolon with musical guests was presented on December 12, 2006 at the home of Lydia Dody. Acoustic Eidolon has not only become a Soiree favorite, it has become a Soiree holiday tradition. Joe Scott's 14-string, double-neck guitjo combined with Hannah Alkire's rich, melodious cello creates a "...sublime acoustic duo," states Boulder Weekly. Their sound was further enhanced by the addition of special guests Maire Breatnach from Dublin, Ireland (the original Riverdance fiddler), and Thomas Loefke from Berlin, Germany (Celtic harpist). Acoustic Eidolon's recordings have been featured on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," John Diliberto's "Echoes," and Woodsong's "Olde Time Radio Hour." The stately residence of Lydia Dody surely dazzled the audience during the holiday season; entering the formal grand foyer and strolling through a lavish home built on an impressive scale.
