Becky Kutz Osterberg received her Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Southern California as a student of Ron Leonard, former principal of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She earned a Master of Music in Cello Performance and completed the coursework for a Master of Music History from the University of Akron in Ohio.

She has performed in over 15 professional orchestras throughout the United States and is currently performing with the Fort Collins Symphony, the Greeley Philharmonic, the Cheyenne Symphony and the Ethos West Chamber Orchestra. On May 18, 2008, Mrs. Kutz Osterberg will perform Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto in C minor with Ethos West at the Griffin Concert Hall, University Center for the Arts in Fort Collins.

Mrs. Kutz Osterberg was a member of both the Angelica Strings Quartet and the Sapphire Ensembles Quartet while residing in California. She is currently playing and contracting for B.K.O. Ensembles, performing at a variety of events throughout North East Colorado.

In addition to her classical orchestral and ensemble experience, Mrs. Kutz Osterberg performed in more than 60 different cities in the United States while playing cello in John Tesh’s “National Discovery Tour.” The tour culminated in the recording of a PBS special broadcast performance. She also plays in studio recording sessions for independent producers in both Colorado and California.

Mrs. Kutz Osterberg’s instructional experience includes teaching and coaching cello for over 15 years. In California she was on faculty at Bethesda Christian University where she taught Cello and Music History. Since moving to Colorado 3 years ago, she has established a private studio in Fort Collins. Mrs. Kutz Osterberg is the Head Coach for the Youth Orchestra of the Rockies Prelude Strings Chamber program. She is a member of the chamber faculty and the cello instructor for the Western Chamber Music Institute at Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison and also coaches cello and chamber music for CSU’s Rocky Mountain Summer Music Camp.

In addition to her performing and teaching, Mrs. Kutz Osterberg is the Orchestra Personnel Manager for the Cheyenne Symphony and the Librarian for the Fort Collins Symphony.

When she is not performing, teaching or working, she usually can be found on the soccer field, enjoying time with her husband, friends and family, or drawing and painting.
