Great news from our national symphony organization - The League of American Orchestras. Sharp/Flats '07 has won a National Award of Excellence!! It will be announced and presented June 13, 2008 at the LAO's national conference in Denver!

We are one of ten volunteer organizations, symphony guilds/leagues, around the country to be so honored. In the past, the League gave out both gold and silver awards to volunteer groups, but this year they have changed their awards program and are only giving out Awards of Excellence that include a monetary prize as well ($100). We will be on the program June 13 and honored with a powerpoint presentation about Sharp/Flats and at a reception to follow.

It is thanks to all the hard work everyone put into Sharp/Flats last year that made this outstanding award possible. To be so honored, nationally, makes all the effort we put into this event(and the money it has raised for our fine orchestra) worthwhile.
