FORT COLLINS SYMPHONY GUILD
EDUCATION

The Symphony Guild’s education mission provides children and adults with opportunities to expand their knowledge and appreciation of music.

Library Talks

As the Fort Collins Symphony’s 2009-2010 Celebration of Sounds draws to a close, the Symphony Guild’s lecture series about those concerts also ends. This entertaining and informative series was held on the Wednesday immediately preceding each Masterworks Concert and featured Dr. Bill Runyan, bass trombonist of the Fort Collins Symphony and a semi-retired CSU professor of music history.

Watch this space for details about our 2010-2011 series.

Musical Zoo

When begun at an early age, the appreciation of music is a wonderful gift which carries forward into a lifetime of pleasure. Participation in musical activities also contributes to the intellectual development of children.

In March of every year, the Fort Collins Symphony Guild hosts a hands-on, interactive adventure in music where young people ages 2-10 have the opportunity to "pet" instruments of all types - strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion - and see and hear music in a myriad of ways. Join the fun at our next Musical Zoo taking place in March 2011 at the Fort Collins Senior Center. For information on ways to help, click Contact.
