A special treat opens up the final concert of the 60th season, so new that the details are still forthcoming—but, it will be made in Colorado! Then, the FCS is thrilled to welcome back Yumi Hwang-Williams as she plays one of the great early 20th century violin concertos: the D minor by Jean Sibelius. To conclude this special event, the symphony takes on the symphony that many consider to be the best of its genre in the 20th century, Copland’s No.3, complete with a "ginormous" set of variations based on this American composer’s Fanfare for the Common Man.
