Handel Alcina Overture and Dances
Mozart Clarinet Concerto
        Featuring Brad Behn
Zwilich Concerto Grosso
Haydn Symphony No. 60 "Ill Distratto"

Handel was the pinnacle of the Baroque period; Haydn and Mozart the zenith of the Classic period. These three composers are joined by American Ellen Taffe Zwilich in works for an 18th Century sized orchestra. Handel’s Overture to Alcina and the Dances that follow are quintessential examples of the high Baroque. Mozart is represented by his beloved Clarinet Concerto. Haydn, always the musical prankster, shows his wit in his Symphony No. 60 "Ill Distratto." Zwilich celebrates them all with her own take on the Concerto Grosso.
