World-renowned Guest Artists to Perform with Fort Collin Symphony

The Fort Collins Symphony is pleased to welcome a pair of world-renowned guest artists to its second Masterworks performance, Paris to Prague, on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Center. Together, violinist Michelle Kim and cellist Clive Greensmith will perform Johannes Brahms’ Concerto for Violin and Cello. Michelle Kim has held the position of Assistant Concertmaster with the New York Philharmonic since 2001. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, and Pacific Symphony. Friday, June 22 C-Day (Concert Day). Choi is to meet us at 12:30 and takes us to lunch. So after breakfast I head over to the conductor's lounge to work on Sweeney Todd where I'll be actually singing the title role at CSU in July. Two hours of singing practice feels great as a change of pace. Lunch is at a different Korean restaurant near the hotel where we feast on fish and soup. Fort Collins Symphony Premieres Work by Local Composer Ethan Boxley: Fanfare for the National Anthem

Composer Ethan Boxley’s Fanfare for the National Anthem and his arrangement of National Anthem in G will be performed by the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra during its upcoming July 4 (FC City Park) and July 7 (Red Feather Lakes) concerts. The impetus for singing the National Anthem in G comes from Dr. Ed Siegel, a native son and avid FCS supporter, who has championed lowering the key of the national anthem for over two decades.
