YES Concert
The Fort Collins Symphony presented Beethoven Lives Upstairs—a fantastical musical drama about a young boy who comes to understand the
genius of Beethoven, the torment of his deafness, and the beauty of his music. This world famous production featured a lively exchange of letters
between young Christoph and his uncle. Their subject was the “madman” who moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s Vienna home.
This performance was presented to over 4,000 4th and 5th graders on January 19, 2012 and was open to the public on January 20, 2012 to offer the wider community the opportunity to learn more about the Fort Collins Symphony and Beethoven’s music in an accessible and entertaining format.
