Come join an afternoon of music and fun!
The Musical Zoo features an afternoon of adventure in music for children, especially between the ages of 3 and 12. At the 2012 event, guests will have the opportunity to see and hear a variety of musicians from Northern Colorado playing solo, in small ensembles, and in an orchestra. The program will have four parts: a variety of entertainment, including face painting and strolling musicians; a petting zoo where children can see and listen to instruments played individually, then hold and try to bow/blow some of the instruments themselves; short performances by small groups of musicians; and finally Peter and the Wolf performed by members of the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, directed by Maestro Wes Kenney, narrated by Lee Kaplan and accompanied by Canyon Concert Ballet dancers.
