Sometimes music is just the medicine the heart and soul need.

Laughter is the best medicine.

Thus, it stands to reason that this combination of music and laughter may be just what the doctor orders for times like these.  The Fort Collins Symphony’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Stage features humorous and inspirational stories as told by FCS musicians and Maestro Wes Kenney.  Your musicians have been invited to share stories about the unusual, funny, or stirring things that have happened to them as orchestral professionals: an unwelcome guest in the pit, a bouncing mute, and a broken G String are just a few of the stories you’ll enjoy.

We all could use a little levity in our lives at the moment. If you find these stories amusing, we invite you to donate to our Keep Us Playing campaign where all proceeds benefit your FCS musicians and their families.
